Women taking Oestrogen plus Gepterix/Utrogestan in combination HRT

For women who still have a womb (uterus), a progestogen is given in combination with oestrogen to reduce the risk of developing womb cancer. Gepterix/Utrogestan is known as a "body-identical" progestogen, and is used with oestrogen given as either gel, patch or tablet.

If Gepterix/Utrogestan is part of your HRT, it is extremely important that it is taken as prescribed to reduce the risk of developing womb cancer - see here for further information.

If oestoegen has been prescribed as a gel, see here for information on how to use it.
